• Office 2010 and BCM

In Office 2010, Business Contact Manager is included only in the volume-license suite and as part of a TechNet or MSDN subscription. BCM 2010 is not included in any of the retail suites.

BCM 2007 users who are upgrading to Office 2010, should contact Microsoft Support and let support know that you have existing BCM 2007 data and need BCM 2010. Users can click the Get Help Now link at the Outlook Solution Center, http://support.microsoft.com/ph/14864.

Slipstick.com strongly encourages any user who needs BCM to contact support through the Outlook Solution Center. While general availability of BCM in earlier versions caused issues for people who installed it but did not use it, limiting availability to volume licensing is too restrictive. We'd like to see it made available (as a restricted download) to anyone who needs it, not just users of previous versions.

Until a solution is announced, if you need to regain access to your BCM data, you will need to remove Outlook 2010 (after contacting support!) and reinstall Outlook 2007 and BCM 2007. Also note that you cannot have 32-bit and 64-bit Office versions installed.
