Outlook 2010 has a new feature that prevents you from sending messages larger than your SMTP server accepts. If you have an Exchange mailbox, Outlook gets the message limit from the server. Because other servers don't share this information with Outlook, it sets a default limit of 20 MB. If your SMTP server supports larger messages (or smaller), you can edit the registry to prevent the warning. For the relevant registry settings, see Outlook 2010's Default Attachment Size

Re: Do you edit and save attachment back to an email message?

I voted "yes," but for the executive I work for. He (unfortunately) uses this feature all the time and we've lost several documents in the process, as they were being saved to the temp directory when...

Do you edit and save attachment back to an email message?

Outlook has a nifty feature (or design flaw, depending on who you talk to): you can open an attachment and edit it, then save it and the changes save to the original email message.
