Thread: Calendar items sending from wrong address

  1. Default Calendar items sending from wrong address

This is a strange problem. I have multiple email accounts in my version of Outlook 2007. My exchange (default) account, one IMAP account, and one POP account. The problem is with the calendar items. Even though my default account is the exchange account, the calendar items (when sending appointments to others) get sent from either my POP or IMAP account and not my default exchange account. If I go back into settings and select a different account as the default account and then immediately switch back to my exchange as the default, it will work properly...for a little while. I have tried deleting my POP and IMAP accounts and then adding them again. But that seems to solve the problem for only a short period of time.

Has anyone run into this before and is there a fix?

Is the exchange mailbox set as default? if you select an account for
sending, does it use the correct account?

Yes, the exchange is set as the default account. It will send emails from the exchange account, but it wont send calendar items from the exchhange account. Very strange problem.

IF you click the Accounts button when composing the meeting requests and
choose the exchange acct - does it go out on exchange?

I seem to have the same problem.
My default account is a MAPI account (Google apps sync for MS
    Outlook).
    Then 3 IMAP/SMTP accounts.
When changing the order of the IMAP/SMTP accounts the invitations will
be send from the first of those, but never from the default account.
When I click the account button the default account is selected, but
when I switch to the scheduling view the attendee listed is the first
    SMTP/IMAP account.

If I do that, it will not go out on exchange (my default account). Also after it does go out through the wrong account, and I single click on that item in my sent items folder, it will cause outlook hang for a couple of minutes.

I am having the same problem in Outlook 2003. My meeting requests are being
sent out from my "business" e-mail rather than "home". This just began
happening recently, say less than a month ago. My "home" has always been my
    default for my calendar.

Example, when I send to my husband's "business", it's accepted and sent to
my home, just as it should and always has. But when I send to his "home"
it's sent to my business as undeliverable and showing it originted from my
"business". I have to click "sent again", "resend from" my "home" and
resend. It's getting complicated and it's never done this. HELP!!

Has anyone come across a solution to this problem? It still happens every now and then and I even have a whole new computer set up.
