Thread: Connecting with Iphone after changing user name

  1. Default Connecting with Iphone after changing user name

    E2003. Win 2003. Latest iphone.
A user in the AD had their user name and email address changed within the AD. She now has an Iphone and this will not connect to sync. It keeps prompting for a user name and password. I suspect it is to do with the CN name still being her previous name.
Does anyone know what I'd need to do or edit with ADSIEDIT in order to get this to work?
(PS, the rest of the iphones and WM devices sync beautifully, so definitely an issue with just this user).

    Regards, Ben.

She will need to update her EAS credentials on the iPhone under Settings.

  3. Default Re: Connecting with Iphone after changing user name

Hi John, thanks for the reply. This user has never been able to synch (as she was given her phone after her name changed), her EAS credentials she types in are the same credentials as she uses on her PC, but they are not accepted. Consequently this leaves me to believe that EAS is trying to match her domain\username (new name) with her canonical name in AD (old name) and therefore failing.... Any thoughts anyone?

    Ben,

So the phone never accepts her credentials when she initially tries to setup
Exchange on her iphone? Can you turn up logging on your IIS default website
and then check the log to see what it provides? It should give you more
detail as to why its failing.
