Default Every time I log into my inbox another email is deleted.

My computer crashed. I restored it OK but now Outlook 2003 deletes messages
with no prompting from me. It seems to happen each time I restart the
    program. Help. Thanks

Are you sure you do not have a filter set to show only unread items?

Sounds more like you are using a view that hides read messages.
