    Hi,

I would like to export my contacts to CSV in order to upload them to Gmail.

My contacts are in hebrew, so both DOS CSV and Windows CSV come out as

question marks. Is there a way to export these Hebrew contacts correctly to

    CSV?

    Thanks

    Grace

What formats can gmail import? What version of Outlook? If gmail can import

vCard files, perhaps one of the tools you can find on the Internet that can

export the Outlook Contacts folder as a VCF would serve. I believe VCF can

    handle Unicode.

    I have Office 2007.

Gmail can only import CSV files.

Haven't tried the following so can't guarantee whether or not it will work

but the following is worth a try....

#1 - Import your contacts into an MS Access table which hopefully will

    retain the Unicode encoding

(import the data directly from Outlook via Access - no

    intermediate file)

#2 - From Access, export the table you just created to text file - you will

be presented with the option to specify what encoding to save the exported

    file as

That should give you the CSV file required to import into GMail which as far

as I know fully supports Unicode characters.
