Outlook 2007 Has Folders Disappear and Reappear

I have a user running Outlook 2007. This user has a very large mailbox and
is in cache mode. He has alot and I mean alot of folders. He just started
to notice the folders go missing. Then if he restarts Outlook a few times,
the folders come back. I can connect to his mailbox from my Outlook 2007
client and the folders are there. Backups have the folders being listed and
backed up. Any thoughts??

It's not going to be anything to do with the Exchange server. How big
is the OST and how many, exactly, folders has he got?

I don't have the machine right now, but I woudl say it is near 7GB in size.
We migrated him from 3 Notes mailfiles to one Exchange. Had no problems
with performance. Only this issue. I agree it has more to do with his
client than his mailbox.
