URL hyprlinks in Outlook 2007 are being truncated on the left. Examople: http://picasa.google.com/ is truncated to: picasa.google.com/ Then the Open with dialog box opens asking me to " Choose the program you want to use to open this file: File: picasa.google.com/ The rightmost " /" is acting as a delimiter and everything to the left of the / including the / is truncated.

Try starting outlook in safe mode and check if the issue persists.

To start outlook in safe mode hold the ctrl button on the keyboard and click on the outlook icon.

If starting outlook in safe mode works try disabling all the addins in outlook and check if it helps.

Check the mails on your webmail once. If it"s same on the webmail, then that"s how it is going to be downloaded in Outlook.

The URLs are well formed (correct and complete) in the body of the Outlook email body. They can be copied and pasted into the address window of IE8 and they work perfectly. The are complete and work properly in the web mail version of that same email (left click the URL and it launches IE properly and opens the web site for that URL.

Example: http://picasa.google.com/ is truncated to: picasa.google.com/

The " Open with" dialog box opens and says:

" Choose the program you want to use to open this file:"

    " File: picasa.google .com/"

Try a new profile in outlook and check if the same issue persists.

Note: Ensure to have your email account created in the new profile and also open the old data file in it.

Are the message plain text or HTML? If HTML, did you verify the http:// part exists in the underlying source code?
