Outlook 2010 "upgrade in progress"
I upgraded my office software from the 2003 version to the 2010 version. All of the software upgrades worked except for Outlook. The INFO section under the FILE tab states that my "mailbox is being optimized as part of upgrading to Outlook 2010." While it advises this process may take more than 15 minutes, this "optimization" has been going on all day.
I cannot send mail, receive mail, make appointments, etc.
Is it normal for this process to take over 12 hours? If so, how long?

Outlook does not support an upgrade installation, especially when skipping a version. If you attempted to do so, you must create a new Outlook profile from scratch:http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;829918&Product=out2003Russ Valentine
