    Default Outlook 2013 and Hotmail

    Dear All,

I have tried the new Outlook 2013, and I own two emails accounts, one Gmail and a Hotmail.

Regarding to the Gmail, it works flawlessly on the new outlook edition but the Hotmail, I'm having some problems.

As you know Microsoft has adopted the new exchange system EAS to synchronize your local machine with your hotmail server, but this new Outlook is making my computer to download every email I have received to my local machine with its attachments, taking forever to update the inbox/send folder, and making a huge file, namely of 3 gigs stored on my User account with all my emails.

I recall that from MS Hotmail Outlook Connector, we had an option to download only headers from existing emails, and we could access our emails on the fly, with direct access to the Hotmail server, that option is missing on the new Outlook 2013, making this edition really laggy and not updating the inbox folder at all, is there a way to correct this?

    Thanks

Unfortunately, there is no option for the EAS accounts to filter the messages, either via headers only, limiting the age of downloaded mail or setting up filters on folders. It is slow to sync, but once everything is synced, it should only update the new items.
